SK Baseball, headed by Managing Partner Stuart Katzoff, has been nationally regarded as one of the premier sports ownership firms in the country. Currently, SK Baseball owns and operates the Reno Aces, Triple-A Affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, in the Pacific Coast League. The club plays in Aces Ballpark, a state-of-the-art $50 million downtown venue that has been lauded for its classic style and modern amenities. SK Baseball also owns and operates the NBA Development League’s Reno Bighorns, who provide one of the finest sports-entertainment options in the region.
Job Description: Manager, Marketing Partnerships
The Manager, Marketing Partnerships will play a crucial role in generating partnership revenue for the Reno Aces and the Reno Bighorns. He/she will be responsible for generating leads and closing creative sponsorship packages and advertising agreements. Additional responsibilities include similar functions for a host of concerts, festivals, and other sporting events at Aces Ballpark.
Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
• Individual will cultivate new corporate partner relationships to ensure sponsor revenue growth
• Develop written proposals for current or new business prospects; design proposals using a consultative sales style incorporating marketing research and understanding the potential partner’s marketing goals
• Manage and maintain existing accounts on an annual basis
• Manage Implementation of Partnership elements
• Establish strong relationships throughout the partner companies
• Liaise with other departments to maximize cross-selling opportunities and share ideas
• Provide accurate, reliable information for sales forecasts
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• A minimum of 2 years experience selling media and/or advertising; knowledge of sports marketing and sponsorship inventory preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills a must! Familiarity with television, radio and Internet sales preferred
• Proven track record of individual achievement with a strong sales record
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required and travel as needed
