Effectively communicate and deliver information regarding the River Cats Foundations charitable endeavors.

Attend home games and sell 50/50 raffle tickets to guests attending games at Raley Field.

Exhibit an outgoing personality; approaching ballpark guests pre-game and in-game with sales pitches encouraging the purchase of raffle tickets.

Accurately handle large amounts of cash transactions and distribution of raffle tickets.

Reconcile and report raffle totals of 50/50 Raffle Coordinator at close of the 6th inning.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience handling cash in a customer service role.

Charismatic personality with ability to interact positively with fan base and actively engage all guests.

Goal oriented; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to comfortably and persuasively promote raffle sales.

Enthusiastic and passionate; interested in nonprofit fundraising a plus.

SUMMARY:

This position assists the Concessions Manager with supervision of the concessions areas to ensure proper inventory of all goods and timely food production, quality guest services and sanitation of stands at all times. This position requires you to work full time during the River Cats baseball season..

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the complete oversight of Concessions operation including the personnel that are employed within the department.

  • Assist in aligning optimal POS and TPV for all public events

  • Assist HR in developing training standards for alcohol service, food service, customer service, safety, harassment, etc.

  • Assist in the creative process for new products, locations, events and menus.

  • Assist with construction or renovation plans and their execution.

  • Assist in the scheduling of employees and the ordering of appropriate stock in preparation for events.

  • Maintain inventory areas in an organized and procedural fashion.

  • Assist in the development and use of inventory spreadsheet management, month end procedures and overall control of F&B inventory.

  • Recommend and maintain a pro-active human resource function to ensure employee motivation, training, development and compliance.

  • Maintain effective internal inventory controls within the entire F&B operation.

  • In Depth Knowledge of food and beverage storefront operations.

  • Experience in reconciling inventory to cash scenarios via POS systems

The Inside Sales Representative is an entry level position in which you will learn about the sports industry from a ticket sales perspective.  You will be soliciting potential clients by phone to sell season seats and group outings all while providing outstanding service to our guests and clients.

SUMMARY:

As a Prep Cook, you will ensure the highest quality food is prepared per the exact recipe specifications at all times. The Prep Cook is responsible for all aspects of their assigned station – completes all items on the daily preparation list; keeps the Line Cooks stocked with basic, critical items throughout the shift; and cleans, sanitizes, and maintains equipment, utensils and tools.

  • Always uses the entire time cycle on the fryers/grill.

The Sacramento River Cats are the Triple-A baseball affiliate of the San Francisco Giants Major League Baseball Club. We are looking for a highly talented, professional social media trainee to join our Media Relations team.

This social media trainee will play an active role in the development of the Sacramento River Cats online brand and community. The trainee will help to maintain the River Cats’ presence on multiple social media platforms and assist in the creation and publication of content relevant to our fan base. The trainee will also be responsible for tracking and analyzing activity and trends on the River Cats’ social media networks.

The Social Media trainee will also assist in Media Relations and Baseball Operations projects as listed below.

The hours of the trainee will fluctuate depending on game times and team travel schedule (expected 20-25 hours per week).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Social Media

  • Contribute regularly to River Cats Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat accounts

  • Interact with and respond to fans/users comments, questions, etc

  • Post updates, news, announcements, and more in a timely manner using appropriate content

  • Monitor other organizations’ social channels and news updates to find outside content that is relevant to the River Cats and our fan base

  • Speak with an intelligent, creative, and witty voice consistent across all social accounts but appropriate for each unique social account

  • Assist in the creation of unique, behind-the-scenes content for use by River Cats and media

  • Take pictures and videos of events, games, and more to be used for social content while also organizing and maintaining all captured content

  • Coordinate with the Marketing and Corporate Partnerships departments to ensure execution on specific social promotions and partnerships throughout the season

    Media Relations/Baseball Operations

  • Work with Media Relations Staff to prepare for pre-season media activities; including 2016 media guide creation and media day planning

  • Assist in preparation of all game day media information when available, including daily game notes, press clips, statistics, rosters, transactions, supplemental bios, and more

  • Interact with players and media personnel in a professional and appropriate manner

  • Assist with creation of written material, including game stories, feature content for The Inside Pitch Magazine, press releases, news recaps, and more

  • Assist with management of Raley Field press box before, during and after games

  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by Media Relations or Baseball Operations Coordinators

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Creative, self-motivated individual who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration with team and other departments

  • Experience maintaining or assisting with the maintenance of an organization’s social accounts

  • Strong understanding of social media outlets and their audiences/uses

Main responsibilities include maintaining Raley Field by doing repairs, beautification projects, general maintenance and setting up for events.
