SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the set-up, maintenance and operation of the bar.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Receive drink orders from patrons or waitstaff.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Raley Field is the home of the Sacramento River Cats Baseball Club (Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants). The River Cats have led all of minor league baseball in attendance for nine (9) consecutive seasons and won the Pacific Coast League Championship in 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2008. Raley Field is also becoming Northern California’s premier venue for concerts, festivals and facility rentals.

The River Cats are looking for outgoing, energetic, driven individuals to become part of the promotions Cat Crew for the 2017 baseball season. This position is a part-time/seasonal position that starts in mid-March and continues through the conclusion of the season in September. The Cat Crew will interact regularly with fans, sponsors, and River Cats/Raley Field staff members both during games and events in the community. Candidates should be enthusiastic with a desire to put on a night of entertainment and memories for River Cats fans.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the set-up, execution, and break-down of gameday events and/or promotions.

  • Preparation for daily promotional activities (i.e., on-field games/activities, pre-game giveaways, upkeep of promotional items/equipment).

  • Effectively carry out in-game promotions (assist in selection of contestants, handing out prizes).

  • Assisting in off-site community events with River Cat mascot, Dinger if needed.

  • Occasionally perform as characters at games and events.

  • Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY:

This position assists the Concessions Manager with supervision of the concessions areas to ensure proper inventory of all goods and timely food production, quality guest services and sanitation of stands at all times. This position requires you to work full time during the River Cats baseball season..

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the complete oversight of Concessions operation including the personnel that are employed within the department.

  • Assist in aligning optimal POS and TPV for all public events

  • Assist HR in developing training standards for alcohol service, food service, customer service, safety, harassment, etc.

  • Assist in the creative process for new products, locations, events and menus.

  • Assist with construction or renovation plans and their execution.

  • Assist in the scheduling of employees and the ordering of appropriate stock in preparation for events.

  • Maintain inventory areas in an organized and procedural fashion.

  • Assist in the development and use of inventory spreadsheet management, month end procedures and overall control of F&B inventory.

  • Maintain product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating customer concerns. 

  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol, sanitation, health and safety regulations, laws and policies.

  • Recommend and maintain a pro-active human resource function to ensure employee motivation, training, development and compliance.

  • Maintain effective internal inventory controls within the entire F&B operation.

  • Effectively manage food levels and production in a timely manner for all storefront and TPV event operations.

  • Assist in the development of programs that result in increased customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

  • In Depth Knowledge of food and beverage storefront operations.

SUMMARY:

 

Between each inning of baseball at River Cats games, the fans are entertained by the promotions team. This team consists of Dinger the Mascot, the Cat Crew and the In-Game Entertainment MC. The In-Game Entertainment MC’s role is to provide high quality entertainment for fans during Sacramento River Cats home games. This is accomplished through the execution of on-field promotions, in-seat trivia and a variety of other promotional activities. The MC’s role is to also be informative and be able to provide formal announcements pertaining to charities and subjects of a more serious nature.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Act as the “host” of the in-game entertainment

Select guests for and organize promotions

Execute on-field promotions to the satisfaction of the fans, supervisors, as well as corporate partners

Promote in-stadium concessions and merchandise through pregame live shots

Make periodic announcements when needed

Engage fans in entertainment such as performances and cheers

Desire to deliver exceptional customer service

Enthusiastic and positive attitude

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The Inside Sales Representative is an entry level position in which you will learn about the sports industry from a ticket sales perspective.  You will be soliciting potential clients by phone to sell season seats and group outings all while providing outstanding service to our guests and clients. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

 

  • Be responsible for sales of Sacramento River Cats and Raley Field ticket inventory.

  • Approximately 20-25 hours per week.

  • Compensation is hourly and there is commission on revenue.

  • Conduct 100 or more cold calls per day.

  • Work on a daily basis to generate new leads and creative ways to sell tickets.

  • Provide excellent customer service to all existing and potential clientele.

  • Handle incoming calls from sales prospects and existing clients.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing quick and efficient service for customers and a variety of duties related to restaurant style service, including cold and hot food preparation, stocking coolers and maintaining sanitation standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check and stock supplies in the workstation neatly, accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Inform cooks in a timely manner when food quantities are low.

  • Display food under appropriate hot or cold conditions as per standards.

  • Maintain appropriate portion control and merchandising standards. 

  • Keep Counter and floor in work area clean and free of debris.

  • Comply with department and company policies and procedures.

SUMMARY:

The Sacramento River Cats are the Triple-A baseball affiliate of the San Francisco Giants Major League Baseball Club. We are looking for a highly talented, professional team of media relations trainees eager to assist in both short- and long-term media and public relations projects starting mid- to late-January and ending in early September. The hours of the trainees fluctuate depending on game times and team travel schedule (expected 20 hours per week).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Work with Media Relations Staff to prepare for pre-season media activities; including 2017 media guide creation and media day planning.

  • Assist in preparation of all game day media information: Daily game notes, press clips, statistics, rosters, transactions, supplemental bios, and more.

  • Supply content for River Cats daily online baseball information and print publications.

  • Write daily game story while team is at home and on road.

  • Write River Cats feature content for The Inside Pitch magazine.

  • Assist with management of Raley Field press box before, during and after games.

  • Assist in the creation of unique, behind-the-scenes content for use by River Cats and media.

  • Assist in various player appearances and executing media requests. 

  • Assist marketing and community relations departments as needed.

  • Assist print, radio and television media at Raley Field.

  • Assist with writing of team and organization press releases.

SUMMARY:

As a Prep Cook, you will ensure the highest quality food is prepared per the exact recipe specifications at all times. The Prep Cook is responsible for all aspects of their assigned station – completes all items on the daily preparation list; keeps the Line Cooks stocked with basic, critical items throughout the shift; and cleans, sanitizes, and maintains equipment, utensils and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares all food items to order, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits.

  • Always uses the entire time cycle on the fryers/grill.

  • Proper maintenance, filtering and usage of the fryers/grill.

  • Properly measures and assembles ingredients required for preparing the standard recipes Cuts and/or portions meat, fish and poultry.

  • Uses scale to ensure proper portioning of food items and minimize waste of products.

SUMMARY

  • Provide support to the Head Groundskeeper of Raley Field in all aspects of daily field operations and maintenance of Raley Field for high school, college and River Cat’s baseball season including but not limited to edging, infield clay work, mound/home plate repair, tarp pulls, batting practice both set-up and breakdown and pre/post game preparation and repair.
  • Warning track maintaince
  • Sweep edges of turf free of material
  • Prep mound and home plates following a game
  • Hand watering of turf
  • Pull tarp as weather dictates
  • Other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Painting projects in and around the stadium

  • Minor repairs on the facility and equipment

  • Set up for baseball games

  • Set up for special events and concerts

  • Complete all jobs on time and to standards set forth my Facility Supervisor/Director, Stadium Operations

  • Identify facility and ops needs

  • Maintaining the appearance of the facility

  • Installation of signage throughout the facility

  • Maintenance of restrooms and fixtures

  • Change out light bulbs and fluorescent tubes

  • Maintain office area and furniture

  • Cleaning of public areas of the stadium

  • Proper knowledge and implementation of safety procedures

  • Assist Facility Supervisor with all aspects of operations

  • Assist Stadium Operations, with special projects and parking operations

  • Respond quickly and efficiently to in-game maintenance calls

  • All other duties assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

  • Two years experience in a support role in a fast paced, complex working environment

  • High School Diploma required, college degree a plus

  • Must possess strong communication and people skills, be personable and enthusiastic, and be professional and courteous

  • Must have good attendance record and be timely

  • Must possess high energy, be flexible, and must be able to handle multiple tasks

  • Must be available to work extended hours, holidays, and weekends if needed

  • Must possess problem solving and decision making ability

  • Must be proactive with strong attention to detail

  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Must exhibit a sense of pride in their work and a job well done

  • Must be able to work at a faster than average pace

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Must be able to bend, lift, twist, climb, walk up and down stairs, stoop and kneel

  • Must be able to work in incremental weather

Facility Operations/Security: Food/Beverage Management
Warehouse Supervisor- Seasonal - Sacramento River Cats Baseball Club, LLC (West Sacramento, CA)

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for supporting the Storefront Manager with all duties in the warehouse under limited supervision. This position requires you to work full time during the River Cats baseball season.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the control procedures are being used for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies and assist in maintaining this supply system.

  • Supervise, as requested, clerical data entry staff involved in transmitting all warehousing documentation to the corporate office.

  • Coordinate all warehousing activities with management.

  • Receive, store and distribute supplies and equipment in large centralized warehousing operations.

  • Use storage systems, policies and procedures to ensure maximum use and efficiency of space and storage areas in warehousing operations.

  • Assist with maintenance of facilities, material handling, equipment and inventory warehousing control systems, manual or automated.

  • Submit reports of damage, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, return of goods to vendor, etc.

  • Contact vendors to reconcile invoice discrepancies, shortages, over shipments or to arrange for emergency shipments or requisitions.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.

  • Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school degree.

  • Three years experience in the receipt, storage or distribution of food and beverage, supplies or equipment, including at least 2 years at the supervisory level in an entertainment or convention center venue.

  • Ability to promote and participate in a team environment.

  • Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate same with others.

  • Associates Degree Preferred

  • Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise. Requires occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds in weight (boxes). Must be able to exert well-paced mobility to maneuver quickly among different areas of the facility.

  • Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
