Facility Operations/Security: Facility/Venue Management
Facility Supervisor - Sacramento River Cats Baseball Club, LLC (West Sacramento, CA)

Summary:

Raley Field, home of the Sacramento River Cats, has an immediate opening for a Facility Supervisor.  This position is responsible for demonstrating, building and enforcing best practices for all projects and functions within the facility; programming/coordinating inspection and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems; supervising outside tradesmen. The ideal individual must be the first line of defense for all facility repairs. They must be proficient with general electrical, plumbing and HVAC repair work.  Managerial skills and technical expertise are essential qualifications for this job.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be knowledgeable of, implement and manage operating and maintenance policies/procedures consistent with all applicable laws, codes, ordinances, safety precautions, and emergency procedures
    • Manage, evaluate, prioritize and execute all work requests by utilizing department personnel.
    • Plans and directs preventive maintenance, engineering and capital improvement projects.
    • Partners with Operations Lead to plan, monitor and ensure that all policies, procedures and guidelines are followed in daily work routines for all department staff.

  • Must be knowledgeable and proficient with general electrical, plumbing and HVAC repair work.

  • First line of defense when it comes to all repair work i.e. electrical, plumbing and HVAC.

  • In conjunction with the department director and stadium operations personnel, assists in the development and monitoring of the annual department budget; monitors and manages budget on an on-going basis.

  • Develops an emergency action plan for system malfunctions or breakdowns; develops corrective actions and solutions.

  • Oversee and support the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Works in conjunction with Operations Lead to oversee and provide proper control of inventories of supplies, spare parts, shop tools and equipment.

  • Implement and document cost saving strategies.

  • Provides safety training for staff; reinforces the use of proper skills and safety practices.
    • Direct, supervise and schedule all aspects of plant maintenance and engineering, ensure proper operation of all systems including, but not limited to; building automation systems, electrical systems and plumbing.

  • Assist with and make recommendations to improve the Emergency Response Program.

  • Assist with the IIPP: Injury, Illness Prevention Program and be a member of the Safety Committee.

  • Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A thorough knowledge of all building systems such as Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Fire protection, Building Energy Management Systems, electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and safe working techniques.
  • Proven ability to plan and schedule maintenance work and direct skilled tradespersons and technicians in the performance of their duties.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organization, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Basic proficiency in use of computer (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
  • Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

 

Education and Formal Training:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • HVAC & Electrical certification preferred.

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience as a skilled technician in one or more of the following: carpentry, electrical, mechanical, HVAC maintenance/repair of building maintenance, and plumbing.
  • Previous experience in large, multiuse entertainment facility preferred.

SUMMARY:

We are looking for a dynamic, driven individual to work in our marketing department as a Graphic Designer & Social Media Engagement Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment that requires the ability to deliver timely, creative, design support and solutions. The marketing department is responsible for visual communications including development of all sales and marketing materials such as sales collateral and digital graphics.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the creative aspects for River Cats branding, marketing materials including: print, online, TV, radio, billboards, etc.

  • Assist with the creation, editing, and printing of sales and marketing collateral pieces.

  • Assist and coordinate any non-traditional marketing efforts (distributing flyers/pocket schedules/mascot appearances and creating flyers for these events).

  • Assist with updating and managing rivercats.com and raleyfield.com.

  • Manage team’s Twitter account and responsibly update page with humorous, pop-culture statuses daily.

  • Develop content (graphics, campaigns, videos, etc.) to be used on all social media platforms.

  • Presenting finalized ideas and concepts.

  • Provide input, ideas and concepts for the overall marketing campaign.

  • Understand the River Cats brand essence and create and develop impactful artwork and designs.

  • Suggest new ideas and approach to the River Cats marketing strategy.

  • Responsible for all game day programs, “Inside Pitch”.

  • Other duties will be designated by the Company as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts and/or related field along with 2+ years of professional design experience with agency or professional sports team desired.

  • Hard working individual that enjoys working independently.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Must know Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
  • HTML experience preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize workload, with on-time and high-quality delivery. Ability to work under tight/strict deadlines.

  • Able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment.

  • Must have good organizational skills.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Must have good communication and excellent writing skills.

  • Professional and positive attitude, ability to take direction and feedback from various sources.

  • Must work well in a team environment.

The Inside Sales Representative is an entry level position in which you will learn about the sports industry from a ticket sales perspective. You will be soliciting potential clients by phone to sell season seats and group outings all while providing outstanding service to our guests and clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Be responsible for sales of Sacramento River Cats and Raley Field ticket inventory.
• Approximately 20 hours per week.
• Compensation is hourly and there is commission on revenue.

• Work on a daily basis to generate new leads and creative ways to sell tickets.
