Facility Operations/Security: Usher/Ticket Taker
Fan Hosts - Nashville Sounds (Nashville, TN)

The Fan Host is a part-time seasonal position for the 2017 home games at First Tennessee Park for the Nashville Sounds. We are looking for highly personable, energetic, and attentive people to assist our fans with any needs they may have at the park, including but not limited to: seat locations, restrooms, concession items and locations, and any other miscellaneous questions and/or needs. Fan Hosts must also be aware of fan’s safety at all times.

Job Description:
•    Communicate effectively and professionally with guests
•    Appropriately greet guests and accurately scan tickets
•    Searching bags of guests that enter First Tennessee Park according to specific guidelines
•    Follow all policies and procedures of the organization and ballpark
•    Be friendly, upbeat, respectable, and personable to guests at all times
•    Be aware and attentive to all guests needs and safety
•    Handling guest issues according to ballpark guidelines and code of conduct

Qualifications:
•    1+ years of customer service experience preferred
•    16+ years of age and authorized to work in the United States
•    Lives in Nashville, Tennessee or middle Tennessee area
•    Positive, upbeat, respectful, and friendly personality
•    Team player attitude and willing to work within a team environment
•    Good verbal communication skills
•    Ability to interact with a diverse group of guests in a friendly and positive manner
•    Physical requirements include ability to stand 5+ hours at a time and walk up and down stairs
•    Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays within the months of April through September
•    Work shifts that could last up to 5+ hours
•    Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Sales & Marketing: Game Operations/Presentation
Nashville Sounds Country Legends Mascot Racers - Nashville Sounds (Nashville, TN)

Summary:

The Country Legends Racers is a mascot race in the mid-5th inning at all Sounds home games. Mascots also greet fans at the gates before home games and host a Meet and Greet with the fans after race until the bottom of the 6th inning in the autographs and photo area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Take on the persona of the Country Legend you encompass.
  • Interact with fans during pre-game.
  • Race in the mid-5th Country Legends Race.
  • Participate in the autographs and photo station following the end of the race until bottom of the 6th inning.
  • Take part in outside appearances as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Previous mascot experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions

  • Must be reliable and able to arrive at First Tennessee Park at least 90 minutes prior to game times.
  • Must be able to work at least 40% of the Sounds home games in 2017.
  • Must be able to take part in the annual tryout (tryouts are by invitation only).
  • Ability to run from centerfield to first base (approximately 200 yards) in a costume.
  • Ability to properly function while wearing a costume.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

  • Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs.

Sales & Marketing: Ticket Operations
Ticket Office Representative - Nashville Sounds (Nashville, TN)

The Box Office Representative is a part-time seasonal position dedicated to the efficient servicing of customers through walk up ticket sales and will call retrieval.  Box Office Representative are expected to exhibit professionalism while interacting with personnel at all levels of the Nashville Sounds Baseball Club, Event Staff, and First Tennessee Park guests. This position is also responsible for handling general customer service inquiries regarding policies, ballpark events, promotions and pricing.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sell tickets to customers using the Ticketmaster software
  • Handle outbound and inbound will call requests
  • Provide exceptional customer service while processing ticket orders and/or solving ticket related issues
  • Be prepared to answer general questions regarding seating, pricing, stadium policies, and event details
  • Maintain and stock supplies for the Box Office windows
  • Accurately process customer ticket orders
  • Accurately balance cash drawer at the end of each shift
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service and retail sales experience, including prior cash handling
  • Computerized ticketing experience preferred, particularly the Ticketmaster.com operating system
  • Lives in Nashville, Tennessee or middle Tennessee area
  • Proven job reliability, dedication, strong work ethic and responsibility
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of the team 
  • Ability to count money and make change accurately 
  • Ability to take and follow instructions. Exceptional communications skills. Position will work closely with the public
  • Possess strong computer skills and be able to comprehend basic mathematics
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays within the months of April through September
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
