The Nashville Sounds are in search of a stadium specialist to join our senior management team in our new state of the art ballpark.
We are seeking a dynamic leader whose superior communication and organizational skills will enable he or she to take responsibility for the management of First Tennessee Park for both baseball and non-baseball events. The managing of the stadium includes the operation and maintenance of the entire facility including the associated administrative and technical services.
This position will report directly to the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer.
Negotiate all maintenance contracts, procure evidence of insurance, define and schedule a preventative maintenance program, maintain all permits, and generally ensure that the stadium is always in a first-class condition.
Coordinate, plan, and supervise the operation, cleaning and maintenance of the buildings and related equipment.
Make the necessary preparations (such as dismantling of equipment, stages, portable seating, etc.) for regular baseball games, practices, and special events.
Develop the planning and supervision of security for all events.
Work closely with the Director of Guest Services to ensure the enjoyment and safety of all spectators in the seating and concourse areas.
Maintain a cooperative relationship with the Manager of Stadium Concessions to ensure that all aspects of the food and beverage guidelines are followed and the entire food service areas are maintained in exemplary condition.
Oversee the inventory and maintenance of all equipment and supplies used in assigned areas.
Manage the hiring and supervision of designated stadium support staff, both regular and game day.
Prepare annual budget recommendations for all stadium areas.
Maintain a positive working relationship with all company department heads.
Must have a background in engineering/ architecture.
Must be able to read blueprints.
Previous managerial experience required.
A basic understanding of the engineering challenges (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.) associated with a baseball stadium.
Ability to make decisions on both people and programs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must embrace the flexibility required to meet the needs of last minute requirements of circumstances that go hand-in-hand with the preparation of a stadium for both baseball games and other free-standing events such as concerts and religious gatherings.
Candidate must have the ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment.
Salary & Benefits:
We offer a highly competitive salary ($58-$65,000) and benefits package that will complement the candidate’s experience in this specialized field of work.
