JOB DESCPRIPTION:

As the Nashville Sounds have entered an exciting time in franchise history, we are looking for a high energy and dedicated sports sales professional to join our senior management team.  The Vice President of Corporate Sales & Marketing will not only lead our sales team but be a major contributor to the development of our new organizational structure.

Reports directly to COO and General Manager:

  • Develop sponsorship leads, while also presenting and selling corporate sponsorship and ticket packages to local businesses
  • Create packages and develop new promotional ideas to suit the needs of prospective corporate sales
  • Renew existing accounts
  • Representative will be responsible for creation, placement, and implementation of all advertisements for Nashville Sounds’ games and promotions; examples include, but are not limited to: digital billboards, print ads, TV commercials and radio spots.
  • Ability to work towards both individual and team based sales goals
  • Provide excellent customer service to group accounts, both new and renewals
  • Renew existing Sponsorship Sales & Group Sales Accounts
  • Ability to work with head of ticketing to create new ticket revenues streams
  • Responsible for individual and team short- and long-term sales goals
  • Develop sales collateral
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings, includes lead management and distribution of current and new accounts to sales team
  • Coordinate all radio broadcasts, including live remotes
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of advertising and marketing methods, costs and results
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets
  • Follow-up on new leads and referrals resulting from outside events
  • Help build the Sounds’ image in the community
  • Develop sponsorship leads, while also presenting and selling corporate sponsorship and ticket packages to local businesses

Successful Candidate Must Possess:

  • Minimum 5 years sales management experience, preferably in a sports/entertainment environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business of related field
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills in all Microsoft office programs
  • Able to work independently, delegate, and think “outside the box”

The ideal candidate will be someone who has the ability to not only successfully negotiate major sponsorship partnerships, but an individual who can teach, encourage and care about his/her entire staff.  The Vice President of Corporate Sales & Marketing must possess strong organizational skills with the clear understanding that leadership is ­­­creating a definition that others can follow.
