Account Executive - Season and Group Sales - Nashville Sounds (Nashville, TN)

The Nashville Sounds are looking for a talented sales executive to join our ticket sales team.  Their responsibilities would include the sales of season tickets, group packages and hospitality areas.  This individual will be held to a high standard for sales as well as expected to deliver excellent customer service to all clients and prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the organization with the utmost professionalism in the community
  • Prospect for quality leads, selling season tickets, groups and hospitality areas for all baseball events through outbound calls and appointments
  • Develop and grow a database of business and individual prospects  
  • Provide excellent customer service to existing clients and prospects at all home games and other events as needed
  • Meet or exceed all sales goals as assigned

Qualifications:

  •          Two (2) years sales experience in sports and entertainment preferred
  •          College graduate (4) year degree required
  •          Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  •          Excellent written and oral communication skills
  •          Archtics ticketing system & CRM experience preferred
  •          Ability to make at least 50 outbound phone calls on a daily basis required
  •          Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays as dictated by events
  •          MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook computer skills

Inside Sales - Nashville Sounds (Nashville, TN)

Job Purpose:

The Inside Sales Representative will play an essential role in the daily sales and customer service operations. Reporting to the Director of Ticket Operations.  The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for selling season, group, and single game tickets while providing customer service support to fans via phone.  This position will also be vital in assisting ticket operations and service departments with various initiatives. 

Responsibilities:

  • Learn the ticket sales process
  • Responsible for, but not limited to, the sales of new Full, Partial and Group outing ticket packages to both corporations and individuals.
  • Meet a minimum of 60 outbound calls per day to potential new clients
  • Assist with marketing and promotional campaigns for the ticket sales department
  • Assist with the daily operations of the Sounds ticket department
  • Help maintain Ticketmaster and CRM databases.
  • Provide a superior level of customer service to all season ticket members, single game buyers, new business prospects, and fans alike.
  • Contribute positively to the sales team by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members.
  • Participate and contribute to daily or weekly sales team meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist with other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in sales or sports industry is highly desired
  • Ticketmaster Archtics experience is preferred
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc)
  • Strong written and oral communication, prioritization, and organizational skills

Compensation: $9.50 per hour, 38 hours per week

DUTIES:

  • Assisting the Director of Media Relations with daily duties
  • Researching, writing, and editing portions of the team’s publications
  • Writing and editing press releases
  • Researching and maintaining team statistics and records
  • Assisting with the set-up and operations of the press box on game day
  • Assisting media representatives with player and coach interviews
  • Production and distribution of media credentials, game notes, stat packs, press releases, team rosters, and daily program inserts
  • Establishing and maintaining a good relationship with local and regional media outlets
  • Handling requests from media, other teams, and PCL office
  • Assist with team social media responsibilities
  • Assist in website maintenance
  • Gather news clips and maintain archive file
  • Assist with postgame (Home and Road) reports

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Pursuing or completion of collegiate degree in communications field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong baseball knowledge
  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a high-energy team environment
  • Ability to work flexible and demanding hours including nights, off hours, and weekends

Stadium Operations Internship - Nashville Sounds Baseball Club (Nashville, TN)

Employment Dates: February 27, 2017 - September 15, 2017

Compensation: $9.50/hr., 38 hrs per week

Stadium Operations Intern will be required to work normal office hours (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) before the season as well as any other events at state-of-the-art First Tennessee Park.

Stadium Operations Intern is expected to work to achieve the highest level of customer service for our fans as well as relaying a positive image of the Nashville Sounds in the community.

DUTIES:

  • Assist Stadium Operations staff with daily upkeep of facility
  • Assist with management of Parking Lot operations, including seasonal staff
  • Assist with managing Sweepers, Cleaning Crew, and Security
  • Set-up and tear-down for events, ensure ballpark cleanliness, and otherwise work inside and out
  • Work with other departments with various needs as it relates to that day's event


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Applicant must have an interest in learning about this department and have an interest in continuing a career in professional baseball
  • Positive attitude is a must
  • Ability to multi-task and handle responsibility
  • Skills with various workshop tools a plus
  • Must be willing to get dirty and work long hours

Ticket Operations Coordinator - Nashville Sounds (Nashville, TN)

Job Purpose: The Ticket Operations Coordinator will play an essential role in the daily operations of the Ticket Office. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Ticket Operations. The Ticket Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing support to fans at the box office and assisting the Ticket Sales and Ticket Services departments with various initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Process season, group, single game, and internal ticket orders
  • Assist in maintaining the Ticketmaster ticketing system and Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Provide operations support to the Ticket Sales and Ticket Services departments

  • Assist in managing all customer account maintenance and data enty

  • Work with group and season ticket services in planning and executing Season Ticket Member and group leader events
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Ticket Operations and VP of Sales

Qualifications:

  • 4 year college degree or combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Prior experience in the ticketing or sports industry is highly desired
  • Ticketmaster software experience is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc)
