Group Sales Account Executive - El Paso Chihuahuas (El Paso, TX)

Position Overview:

The Account Executive’s main responsibility is to produce ticket revenue by developing and maintaining group ticket accounts. The SAE will sell new group accounts to decision makers within businesses and non-profit organizations. The SAE will also sell new season seat accounts through outside sales appointments with businesses, and over the phone sales to local residences.

Essential Job Functions:
• Meet all sales goals assigned.
• Set appointments over the phone with decision-makers, consistently meeting the weekly goals for sales appointments.
• Master all sales presentations (taught in sales training), and deliver it in front of company decision-makers, tailoring packages according to each company's needs, and handling objections in an effort to bring in new season seat accounts.
• Develop and maintain a database of potential group- and season-seat customers.
• Contact group leaders through the database and through new leads, particularly after a direct mail piece is released, to bring in new sales.
• Prospect for quality leads, particularly through asking for referrals.
• Provide customer service to existing accounts by visiting with them during games, as well as provide amenities.
• Make phone calls during the season and off-season to ensure personalized, continual contact with ticket holders.
• Work with the Box Office to update certain sales reports.
• Complete any customer service an operational duties in season as assigned.

Skill Requirements:

YOU MUST HAVE A MIN OF ONE YEAR SELLING TICKETS in Groups, less than 1 year need not apply!

We will not consider any applicants without specific minor/major league baseball experience or other sports team sales experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.

THE GAMEPLAN

This is a full-time position and a great launching point to begin your career in sports ticket sales. You'll be making phone calls, scheduling meetings, and attending events with qualified Aces prospects to sell them ticket packages. You’ll develop and manage relationships while providing exemplary customer service. The majority of your time will be spent in the office but you may work various community and in-ballpark events along with all of our 70+ home games. We don’t expect you already understand how to sell ticket packages. We’ll provide you with first class training and support to help you be successful.

MAIN DUTIES

1. Make phone calls to qualified prospects with a focus on generating full season and partial season ticket sales for the Aces
2. Manage relationships of both ticket package accounts you sell as well as inherited accounts
3. Be available to work up to 70+ home games servicing clients
4. Other duties as assigned

The Director of Marketing is responsible to lead and manage efforts to support ticket sales, sponsorship sales, single game sales, special events and additional revenue generating opportunities as they arrive. Sales support will be done in a variety of ways including but not limited to advertising, grass roots marketing, creative community initiatives and internal marketing. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the River Cats brand as the premier entertainment opportunity in Northern California.

The Director of Marketing will oversee marketing, advertising, graphic design, promotions, game entertainment, and community efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Establish the River Cats brand identity.
• Develop internal marketing efforts to establish and promote the River Cats brand.
• Hire, train, and manage street team, coordinating grass roots marketing efforts.
• Establish community service goals for front office, players and mascot.
• Coordinate efforts to involve partners, STHs and group leaders in community service.
• Lead in creation of ad campaigns and media buys.
• Establish marketing timelines and execute prior to deadlines.
• Work with partnership activation to come up with creative activation opportunities within Raley Field and in the community.
• Work with ticket sales to come up with creative and fun opportunities to reach prospects.
• Oversee all River Cats collateral creation, printing, and distribution.
• Oversee all printing and production of stadium signage.
• Work with special events to help promote and market events.
• Oversee production and printing of The Inside Pitch game program.
• Oversee promotional calendar and promotional items.
• Oversee game entertainment elements.


Qualifications, Education and/or Experience

• College diploma
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to multi-task and complete projects in a timely manner
• Professional appearance in line with River Cats expectations
• Able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must have good communication and excellent writing skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Inside Sales Representative is an entry level position in which you will learn about the sports industry from a ticket sales perspective. You will be soliciting potential clients by phone to sell season seats and group outings all while providing outstanding service to our guests and clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Be responsible for sales of Sacramento River Cats and Raley Field ticket inventory.
• Approximately 20 hours per week.
• Compensation is hourly and there is commission on revenue.
• Conduct 100 or more cold calls per day.
• Work on a daily basis to generate new leads and creative ways to sell tickets.
• Provide excellent customer service to all existing and potential clientele.
• Handle incoming calls from sales prospects and existing clients.
• Actively research and prospect new sales leads.
• Professionally represent the organization.
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals.
• Work as a member of the TEAM, and have fun!

REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Strong interpersonal skills a must.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Word.
• Sales experience is required, experience cold calling a plus.
• Strong background in customer service is a plus.
• High School Diploma.

Pay Rate: $8.00 per hour
