The Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros and member of the Pacific Coast League, are committed to providing the most complete sports experience and family entertainment in the Central San Joaquin Valley.

 

Position Summary:  Individual is responsible for generating revenue through the sale of club-controlled inventory in stadium signage, print, radio, promotional events, and hospitality entitlements. Account Executive will play a key role in business development and ensuring that the Fresno Grizzlies meet their projected corporate partnership goals each season.  Individual must demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, be willing to and comfortable interacting with senior level business executives, and work in a team setting. Additional requirements include attending weekly staff meetings, provide updates on sales efforts, and keep an up-to-date account of prospective clients.  

    

Essential Functions: 

1.         Research, prospect, and establish leads for corporate relationships.

2.         Schedule meetings with potential partners to obtain business objectives and intelligently describe the goals of the Grizzlies organization.

3.         Develop unique partnership proposals to meet clients’ expectations.

4.         Prepare and deliver partnership presentations (via phone or in person).

5.         Work game days to entertain existing and potential clients as needed.

6.         Participate and assist with additional duties as assigned by the Director of Corporate Partnerships.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1.         Extensive experience in sales, marketing or related business development field.

ROUNDING THE BASES:

DAY OF GAME PLAN:

We are looking for the next super star on our sales team. This individual will be a full time employee of the Aces baseball club. You’ll be making outbound phone calls, going on face to face meetings with prospects, touring clients around Aces stadium, and working prospect events. You will also work all home baseball games during the Aces season and outside events as scheduled. The primary objective of this position is building relationships and generating revenue for the aces ticket sales department.

Responsibilities

  • Sell a full menu of ticket products for the Aces baseball club, including, but not limited to full and partial season ticket packages, group tickets and hospitality packages.

  • Make cold calls from lists of area companies provided to sell full and partial season ticket packages and group tickets.

  • Successfully follow up with clients and prospective clients in order to build relationships to help provide repeat business and to meet excellent customer service requirements.

  • Proactively create opportunities for new business through up selling opportunities and referrals from existing clients.

  • Contact past customers in order to generate new ticket sales.

  • Conduct in-arena appointments and tours of Aces stadium to assist in closing new business and developing new relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business/sales/marketing/sports management or similar concentration.

  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization.

Big Picture: You will sell all types of group outings, a lot of them.

How? You will be equipped with the best sales training in sports and will run your own business. You will be interacting with group leaders, company planners, civic organizations and the such, small to large and providing solutions to their specific needs.

Detailed Description:

• Responsible for selling Tacoma Rainiers group packages.
• Responsible for servicing sales accounts by providing unsurpassed customer service.
• Responsible for generating and developing new business through leads lists, name collection activities, cold calls, networking events, speaking engagements, etc.
• Maintain a high standard of integrity during the sales and service process with each customer.
• Attend team and community events for the purpose of maximizing sales opportunities.
• Keep accurate sales files, customer service files, call reports, appointment schedule reports, prospects reports, etc. Maintain weekly communication on all activity reports.
• Follows and ensures implementation of all team sales programs.
• Assist with the development of team sales databases.
• Assist with sales campaigns.
• Works with Event Services to implement sales themes, promotions and events.
• Network within the local business area to acquire new business.
• Responsible for in-stadium activities relating to the function of ticket sales (ie. Customer Service Booth, promotions, name generation opportunities, meet and greets, etc).
• Responsible for renewing established accounts from year to year.

Hours of Work: This position will have game day responsibilities. Typical hours of non-game day work will be 8 AM – 5 PM (and beyond). Estimated game day hours will be 9 AM – 10 PM.

Compensation Package:
• Full time salary position. Pay scale based on experience.
• Commission/bonus based on new sales, team sales goals and renewals.

Corporate Partner Services Coordinator - Tacoma Rainiers Baseball Club (Tacoma, WA)

Reports to: Director of Corporate Partner Services

Job Objective:

Assist in the management of service, activation, implementation and fulfillment of all Corporate Partner contracts. Interface with partners at all levels of their organization for the partnership in regard to promotions, media, signage, hospitality, community opportunities, special events and other assets.

Works closely with:

  • Corporate Partner Sales
  • Marketing and Communications
  • Graphic Design
  • Game Entertainment
  • Ticket Staff
  • Stadium Operations

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create customized partnership guidebooks including all directions and deadlines to help manage partner expectations throughout the season
  • Work with Marketing team, Corporate Partner Sales and Game Entertainment to create and outline partner promotions
    • Manage on-field/in-game execution of all partner promotions
    • Assist in the execution of all promotional marketing plans
    • Responsible for compiling promotion wrap ups at the end of all promotional periods to be relayed to partners
  • Assist with the execution of all hospitality elements and events
    • Responsible for ticket distribution to all partners
    • Lead all partner events on and off-site
    • Design hospitality event invitations and manage RSVPs for Corporate Partner networking events
    • Coordinate/schedule gameday VIP tours, seat visits, first pitches, videoboard welcomes, mascot visits, suite/party deck visits
  • Support Corporate Partner Services and Marketing teams to execute the layout of the daily game program
  • Take photos and documentation of all promotions, events and contractual obligations and maintain an accurate image library for Annual Reports
  • Create annual partnership recaps (Annual Reports) that assist in showing the valuation of each partnership post-season
  • Work with Corporate Partner Sales, Marketing team and Creative Director to create proposals for potential clients

Education / Experience:
Minimum four year college degree in related field. Sales, service or marketing experience preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop strong working relationships with partners, coworkers and other stakeholders. Must be able to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment. Must be a problem solver and have decision making ability.

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign.
