Group Sales Account Executive - El Paso Chihuahuas (El Paso, TX)

Position Overview:

The Account Executive’s main responsibility is to produce group ticket revenue by developing and maintaining group ticket accounts. The AE will sell new group accounts to decision makers within businesses and non-profit organizations. The AE will also sell new season seat accounts through outside sales appointments with businesses, and over the phone sales to local residences.

Essential Job Functions:
• Meet all sales goals assigned.
• Set appointments over the phone with decision-makers, consistently meeting the weekly goals for sales appointments.
• Master all sales presentations (taught in sales training), and deliver it in front of company decision-makers, tailoring packages according to each company's needs, and handling objections in an effort to bring in new season seat accounts.
• Develop and maintain a database of potential group- and season-seat customers.
• Contact group leaders through the database and through new leads, particularly after a direct mail piece is released, to bring in new sales.
• Prospect for quality leads, particularly through asking for referrals.
• Provide customer service to existing accounts by visiting with them during games, as well as provide amenities.
• Make phone calls during the season and off-season to ensure personalized, continual contact with ticket holders.
• Work with the Box Office to update certain sales reports.
• Complete any customer service an operational duties in season as assigned.

Skill Requirements:

YOU MUST HAVE A MIN OF ONE YEAR SELLING TICKETS in Groups, less than 1 year need not apply!

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.

THREE OUT OF FOUR DOESN’T WORK

WHAT TEAM WILL YOU BE SELLING FOR?

The Oklahoma CIty Dodgers are the Triple-A Pacific Coast League Affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. We play in beautiful Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark located in downtown Oklahoma City. It’s a great team in a fantastic city!

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Tickets. Remember, its tickets. You’d be a salesperson making sales calls to groups within different categories selling our different group products including seats in the stands and hospitality. We don’t expect that you’ll know how to sell our different ticket packages, so we provide extensive training. We’ll teach you how to make the initial call and how to help select the best ticket package for that particular prospect. We’ll also allow you to explore other areas of the organization with some operational and administrative tasks, but about 99% of your time will be spent selling tickets.  You’ll be working ticket sales in minor league baseball. This means long hours during the work week and being available for all necessary events.

WHO DOES THE TRAINING?

Training is done in-house. We’ll start you off with a boot camp giving you all the information you need to be successful. Don’t worry—we’re not going to just hand you a “how to sell tickets” manual and expect you to study it. The training is interactive so you’re learning and applying at the same time. After boot camp, you’ll have a pool of high-level executives such as our team president and vice president of ticket sales, in addition to a staff of experienced sales reps to learn from.

QUALIFICATIONS

Did you answer yes to the first three questions at the very bottom of this posting? If you do, we can answer the fourth question for you. Yes, you will get unsurpassed training that will be giant steps in reaching your career goal.
