Ticket Sales Account Executive - El Paso Triple A Baseball (Team to be Named) (El Paso, TX)

Position Overview:

The Ticket Sales Account Executive’s main responsibility is to produce ticket revenue by developing and maintaining season and group ticket accounts. The TSA will sell new group accounts to decision makers within businesses and non-profit organizations. The TSA will also sell new season seat accounts through outside sales appointments with businesses, and over the phone sales to local residences.

Essential Job Functions:
• Meet all sales goals assigned.
• Set appointments over the phone with decision-makers, consistently meeting the weekly goals for sales appointments.
• Master all sales presentations (taught in sales training), and deliver it in front of company decision-makers, tailoring packages according to each company's needs, and handling objections in an effort to bring in new season seat accounts.
• Develop and maintain a database of potential group- and season-seat customers.
• Contact group leaders through the database and through new leads, particularly after a direct mail piece is released, to bring in new sales.
• Prospect for quality leads, particularly through asking for referrals.
• Provide customer service to existing accounts by visiting with them during games, as well as provide amenities.
• Make phone calls during the season and off-season to ensure personalized, continual contact with ticket holders.
• Work with the Box Office to update certain sales reports.
• Complete any customer service an operational duties in season as assigned.

Skill Requirements:

YOU MUST HAVE A MIN OF ONE YEAR SELLING TICKETS, less than 1 year need not apply!

We will not consider any applicants without specific minor/major league baseball experience or other sports team sales experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.

El Paso Triple A Baseball Box Office Director - El Paso Triple A Baseball- (Team to be Named) (El Paso, Tx)

Position Overview:

The Director of Ticket Operations drives all the functions for the team’s Box Office. The Director oversees the processing and payments of all group, season, club, skybox, and individual ticket orders, as well as all non-baseball ticketed events (concerts). 

Essential Job Functions:
• Process all season, group, and individual ticket orders with no errors and in a timely fashion.
• Process all payments and details for club and skybox accounts.
• Oversee printing and shipping of season tickets.
• Hire, train, and manage all seasonal Box Office staff and assist sales staff with ticketing issues.
• Set up and monitor ticketing system.
• Handle all deposits, credit card charges, and refunds for ticket-related orders.
• Create and implement processes for season and group renewals and invoicing.
• Develop and follow an operating budget for the Box Office.
• Track ticket inventory throughout the off season and season to maximize opportunities to sell to customers.
• Update reports on daily payments, gate revenue reports, ticket availability reports and other reports necessary to the Sales Department.
• Create systems and processes that ensure overall checks and balances exist on each account from a collection perspective.
• Develop and implement a system that verifies that all ticket related sales can be spot checked for validity of accounts and payments.

Skill Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 4+ year’s prior Box Office experience, preferably in a professional sports environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to develop and manage an operating budget.
• Willingness and ability to listen and learn.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to express oneself persuasively and get a pint across clearly.
• Thorough knowledge of a ticketing system and of ticket sales.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends.
• Computer skills in Excel.
• Strong mathematical and deductive reasoning aptitude.


Physical Demands & Working Environment:
• Required to work long hours standing and walking around.

Position Summary
Individual is responsible for generating new revenue from local businesses in the following areas: Season Tickets, Mini-Plans, Group Tickets, Group Hospitality Areas, BBQ Picnics and Nightly Luxury Suites.
 
Position Responsibilities
• Developing new business via phone and in-person appointments
• Prospect needs assessment
• Customer presentations
• Order placement and fulfillment
• In-game serving of group patrons
• Seat visits
• Must be able to work nights and weekends
• Review and perform customer fulfillment presentation as required
• Other various tasks as needed
 

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience
• At least two (2) years sales experience in sports and entertainment required
• BA or BS college degree preferred

• Approximately 20 hours per week.
• Compensation is hourly and there is commission on revenue.
• Work on a daily basis to generate new leads and creative ways to sell tickets.
• Provide excellent customer service to all existing and potential clientele.
• Handle incoming calls from sales prospects and existing clients.
• Actively research and prospect new sales leads.
• Professionally represent the organization.
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals.
