Box Office Manager - Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Colorado Springs, CO)

Box Office Manager   – Sky Sox Baseball (Colorado Springs, CO) .  Triple A Affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.  Pacific Coast League of Professional Baseball.

SUMMARY
The Box Office Manager reports to the Sr. Director of Ticket Sales and will oversee the daily Box Office Operations.  This position directly supervises 6+ part-time window sales reps. The Box Office Manager  works closely with the Accounting Department to report income and to monitor and implement cash controls. This position will be required to be present at all Sky Sox games and additional Security Service Field events as scheduled.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned

·  Recruit, hire, train and supervise all Ticket Operations staff

·  Assist with  staffing records, payroll and other reports.

·  Assist with  Prepare and maintain yearly department operating budget

·  Perform the daily reconciliation of Ticket Office revenues

·  Assist with oversight of event reconciliation of Parking, Special Events/Activities and Merchandise cashiers

·  Assist with oversight of  Ticket, Parking and Merchandise bank preparation and onsite cash volume

·  Assist with preparation, distribution and retain pertinent reports, data and information as requested

·  Interact closely and maintain strong working relationship with ticket service provider (TicketReturn)

·  Effectively interact with other departments to implement and coordinate programs and activities

·  Assist with the preparation of events for public on-sale

·  Assist with controlling and maintaining inventory of ticket and parking stock, envelopes and invoices

·  Assist in the coordination and design of various printed materials and collateral pieces

·  Work all Security Service Field non-baseball ticketed events and all Sky Sox baseball games

·  Minimum 1- years experience working in a Ticket Office for a facility with multiple events

·  Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university

·  Proficient with TicketReturn System and MS Word and Excel

·  Superior organizational skills

·  Ability to manage multiple projects

·  Strong attention to detail

·  Outgoing personality with good communication skills

Summary of Responsibilities:

Manage the activities, operations and staff of the group sales department to meet and exceed yearly group sales goals.  Develop and maintain group sales for groups from 25 to 1000 through market research, cold calling and networking. Manage two Account Executives and two seasonal staff members that provide customer service and game day experiences.

·         Make sales calls mainly via phone and email to area organizations and follow up as necessary

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

The Service Coordinator will play a crucial role in implementing and servicing the marketing partners and non-baseball special events for the Reno Aces. He/she will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive performance of all contract deliverables, including the scheduling, production and timely delivery of signs, promotions, and other advertising products. Additional responsibilities include similar functions for concerts, festivals, and other sporting events at Aces Ballpark.


Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
• Implement production and delivery of contract deliverables for partners
• Assist with Corporate Partner promotional execution
• Assist Corporate Partner sales staff in developing client marketing/sponsorship strategies
• Assist in the development and production of sponsorship proposals and presentations and sales materials for both sponsorship and ticket sales
• Take game day photos and maintain accurate image library for Annual Reports
• Research company profiles and information utilizing marketing databases for prospective partners
• Research, prospect and establish leads – via direct phone contact, face to face, networking, organizations and industry events
• Contact and schedule new business meetings for the corporate sales department
• Research current marketing trends and platforms in professional sports
• Assist in day to day tasks of the entire department
• Work game nights with designated responsibilities and tasks, including weekends
• Other related sales-duties will be designated by the Company from time to time and may include, without limitation, attendance at all Reno Aces home games and other ballpark events.

The Sacramento River Cats,  have just concluded our 15th season. Since the team came to Sacramento in 2000, no minor league team has consistently filled the ballpark as much as the Cats. This past season, more than 700,000 people attended events at Raley Field. Raley Field has been the toast of the region since its debut in May of 2000. With a seating capacity of 14,014, it features 36 luxury suites, 2,500 club seats, a stadium club, multiple group party areas, children’s playground, a giant HD LED video board and a state-of-the-art audio/visual production center.

In addition to our attendance records, we won back-to-back Pacific Coast League Championships twice (2003-04 and 2007-08), played host to the 2005 Triple-A-All-Star Game, and continue to send many players on to the Major Leagues, including Barry Zito, Nick Swisher and Carlos Gonzalez.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


• Assisting in activation of all contractual partnership elements including, but not limited to: in-game activities and promotions, sponsor signage, radio inventory, print ads, hospitality, VIP tours and first pitches, giveaways, non-baseball events, and other obligations
• Creating sponsorship proposals
• Providing support for the luxury suite level, both game day and non game day
• Providing exceptional customer service

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
