Job Overview:

Premium Sales Manager is primarily responsible for generating new business through the sale of premium ticket and hospitality inventory for the new First Tennessee Park.  It includes the selling of Club Seats, nightly hospitality, and suite areas through cold-calling, face-to-face appointments, and networking opportunities.  Ideal candidates have 2-3 years sales experience with a professional sports organization, preferably in premium/suite/hospitality sales.

Major Responsibilities:

  • This position will be focused on prospecting, appointment setting, executing sales presentations, and closing sales

  • Set and conduct out of the office sales appointments throughout Middle Tennessee

  • The candidate will be accountable for certain levels of activity (calls and appointments), appointment goals, and closed sales goals

  • Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as the competitive desire to be the best

  • Candidate should possess both the personal and communication skills to conduct face to face presentations

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

THE GAMEPLAN

This is a full-time position and a great launching point to begin your career in sports ticket sales. You'll be making phone calls, scheduling meetings, and attending events with qualified Aces prospects to sell them ticket packages. You’ll develop and manage relationships while providing exemplary customer service. The majority of your time will be spent in the office but you may work various community and in-ballpark events along with all of our 70+ home games. We don’t expect you already understand how to sell ticket packages. We’ll provide you with first class training and support to help you be successful.

MAIN DUTIES

1. Make phone calls to qualified prospects with a focus on generating full season and partial season ticket sales for the Aces
2. Manage relationships of both ticket package accounts you sell as well as inherited accounts
3. Be available to work up to 70+ home games servicing clients
4. Other duties as assigned

“Spike” is a seasonal position that serves to promote the Round Rock Express at home games as well as in the Central Texas community. The mascot performer must be an upbeat, outgoing individual with the ability to interact with all types of people. “Spike” is a vital component of the in-game experience at Dell Diamond and candidates must be comfortable performing in front of thousands of fans on a nightly basis.

Responsibilities

·         Maintain the character and personality of “Spike”, both at home games and at community appearances

·         Perform as mascot at all (or a vast majority of) 72 home games per season from April to September

·         Help create a fun and energetic atmosphere at home games

·         Perform as mascot at community appearances throughout the year, both during the season and in the off-season

·         Plan, develop, and implement mascot skits with Director, Ballpark Entertainment to perform at home games

·         Develop and maintain the mascot’s costume and props

·         Provide a high level of customer service to fans and sponsors

SUMMARY: The River Cats and Raley Field is looking for a unique individual to assume the role of the River Cats Mascot, “Dinger”. The successful candidate should have one or more of the following attributes:

  • Have dance, gymnastic or acting experience, and/or training.
  • Have costume performance experience
  • Lettered in a high school sport

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Perform and entertain at all home games at Raley Field, team events and community appearances.
  • Manage and determine Dinger’s performances, skits and dance moves coming up with creative and original ideas to keep our fans entertained.  
  • Responsible for the upkeep, care, cleaning and maintenance of all mascot costumes.
  • Input in deciding on new mascot costumes, the design and theme.
  • Create monthly reports & schedule of Dinger’s community appearances.
  • Manage, oversee and maintain Dinger’s Twitter page by interacting with Dinger’s friends and fans, keeping his page current and interesting with posts, photos, and videos.
  • Responsible for maximizing the quantity and quality of Dinger appearances.
  • Responsible for training and communication with back-up Dinger and handlers.
  • Manage and determine Groove Crew dances & songs/In-game entertainment.
  • Keep an active Dinger presence in the community at least 5 days a week.

REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Athletic and physically fit (able to lift approximately 50 lbs.)
